Sharing your story can be a way to:

• Celebrate the life and personality of your pet.
• Offer comfort and connection to others who are grieving.
• Keep your pet’s memory alive for years to come.

Your words may become the reminder another grieving heart needs that love never truly leaves.

How It Works

1. Tell us about your pet – Share their name, what made them special, and your favorite memories together.

2. Include a photo (optional) – A picture can bring your story to life, but it’s not required.

3. Submit your story using the form below – We’ll review it for clarity, accuracy, and appropriateness before publishing.

Story Guidelines

To keep this a safe, supportive, and uplifting space, please:

• Focus on your pet’s life and the love you shared.
• Avoid graphic descriptions of illness or passing.
• Keep stories between 300–1,000 words.
• Only submit photos and content you own or have permission to share.

What Happens After Submission?

We’ll send you an email confirming we’ve received your story.

Our editorial team will review it and let you know when it’s scheduled to be featured on When Paws Leave.

Published stories will appear in our Pet Memorials section and may be shared on our social channels to honor your beloved companion.
